Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 April 2026
1. Who we are
This policy covers the website at quit.mifasuse.com ("the site"), operated by Quit Smoking Journey. The site provides information to help people stop smoking.
2. Data we collect
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site. GA4 collects:
- Pages visited and time spent
- General geographic region (country/city level)
- Device type and browser
- How you arrived at the site (search, direct, referral)
GA4 does not collect your name, email address, or any directly identifying personal information through our implementation. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
Google is the data processor for Analytics. Their privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy .
Affiliate tracking cookies
Some links on this site are affiliate links — primarily to products on Amazon. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (e.g. Amazon) may set a tracking cookie on your device to attribute any resulting purchase to us. This is standard affiliate programme operation.
We do not receive any personal data from these transactions — only an aggregated commission report.
Data you enter into tools
Interactive tools on this site (such as the Savings Calculator) process data entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers or stored.
3. Affiliate disclosure
This site participates in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Affiliate links are used only for products we believe are relevant and credible. Commissions do not affect editorial recommendations.
4. Third-party services
| Service | Purpose | Data sent |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Site analytics | Anonymised usage data |
| Amazon Associates | Affiliate tracking | Click referral (cookie) |
5. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or erasure of your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Because we collect minimal data and no directly identifying personal information through the site itself, most requests will be directed to Google (for Analytics data) or Amazon (for affiliate cookie data).
6. How to opt out of analytics
- Browser-level: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on .
- Ad settings: Manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com .
- Cookies: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking affiliate cookies does not affect your ability to use this site.
7. Data retention
Analytics data is retained for 14 months in GA4 (the default). After that period, individual event data is deleted automatically by Google.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions.
